Master Charlie is 6 yr old Florida bred with 14 starts making $17,949 in his career on the track.   

Charlie was left abandoned by his owner at the track and sat in a stall for a little over a year, getting the bare minimum care from the groom. 

The day he was taken to be euthanized a CTA representative happened to see him at the clinic in July of 2021.  Charlie was also a stallion so he needed to be castrated.  A week later Charlie came to CTA.   

He has a bone cyst on his LF pastern which will unfortunately not improve.  Charlie is very laid back and good with other horses, he can tend to be the low man on the totem pole, poor guy, so we have to keep an eye on him. 

Charlie spends most days with Don Carlos and Tito in the large pasture and napping under the bamboo trees.   Charlie does need shoeing on his fronts every 5 weeks, and his only vice is he does like to play in the water 🚰 trough.
