About Prospect Commander
Prospect Commander is a 2015 Kentucky-bred gelding  by Bodemeister. He retired to CTA in April 2018. He has “chronic LF splint bone fractures” and was placed on stall rest, then small paddock turnout and then turnout in a large paddock with other geldings. He handled every aspect of his rehabilitation very well and became sound again. He was adopted in Puerto Rico in July and returned to CTA in late December as his adopter was struggling with providing adequate stabling and care for him. He needed to regain some weight when he returned, but otherwise is doing well and has adapted to life at CTA well. The equine veterinarian has given him the OK for an athletic career, and we think he’d be good at most any lower-level athletic job as well as pleasure, trail and companionship. He is a classy, easy horse to handle on the ground and in the saddle.
